by At one point in John and Dodie Osteen’s marriage, they were experiencing some minor marital strife as all couples do. It’s easy when going through the day in and day out for a marriage to begin to feel dull and for spouses to get irritated with each other. In this instance, John Osteen was giving his wife, Dodie, “the silent treatment,” and was making it very obvious that he was ignoring her. This went on for several days, until one day, John couldn’t seem to find Dodie. He started searching all over the house to find her just so he could continue plainly ignoring her. He didn’t know Dodie was intentionally hiding. Went he came through the door of the room she was in, she jumped on top of his back.
He began to holler, “Get off of me!”
“Not until you start talking to me!” She retorted.
They both collapsed to the ground in a heap and laughed and laughed about the whole ordeal. Sometimes all it takes it choosing to laugh and enjoy each other’s company to put petty offenses aside.
