AN INDEPENDENCE LETTER FROM GOD TO YOU, DEAR WOMAN.
AN INDEPENDENCE LETTER FROM GOD
Dear beautiful Nigerian woman.
As your Nation celebrate her independence today.
I want to talk to you dear beautiful woman that is not yet free indeed.
I want to talk to you dear beautiful lady that is free from the white colonial rule, but you are not yet free from the dark secrets of your past.
You have allowed your past to be your tour guide leading you to all the wrong places where you will never find the future i designed for you.
I write to you dear beautiful woman that is still a slave to inferiority complex, inferiority complex have made you audition for roles you were never called to play in life, all because you feel you are not good enough to play the role given to you by me.
I write to you beautiful woman that hasn’t arrived at the place of your ordination, your throne in the throne room is vacant all because you are stuck in the traffic of society that keep women from moving through
the belief that “A woman is only meant for the other room.”
I write to you who love looking at the mirror of lies, how do you expect to see your true identity when you keep looking at yourself through the mirror of lies?’
I write to you whom your favourite music is that loud voice that keep telling you that you are meant to just end up as a house wife, that music has made you dance in the arms of wrong men, and as long as you keep dancing to that music you will never hear my still small voice telling you that you are a power house.
This is also for you that was raped, abused and molested, i know you suffer from psychological and emotional illness, and you keep injecting yourself with the belief that you no longer have any value, you keep swallowing the lies administered by public opinions.
Can’t you see that you are treating yourself at the wrong place, why not allow the great physician treat you?
Allow me to inject you with my peace and love and give you my pill of truth to swallow, a truth that will set you free indeed.
How long will you keep accommodating those negative thoughts in your mind?
Can’t you see that although they are living in your head, you are the one paying the rent for them to live there?
Give those negative thoughts a quick notice, it is time for them to vacate to your mind.
Get rid of those fig leaves of lies you have covered yourself with and come be clothed with a royal apparel.
Don’t go around tables begging for crumbs of love from men who don’t know your worth, come sit at the table prepared for you by me.
Stop re-opening your wounds, allow them to heal and become scars, scars are the medals put on the bodies of champions who survived the fierce battles of life.
Stop counting the number of times you fell while running this race and start counting the number of smiles that will be on my face when you get to the finish line.
Take off those white and black lies the devil have been using to make you colour blind, so you won’t see that all the experiences you went through are a beautiful blend of colours that has transformed you into a beautiful rainbow.
I know the devil have bruised your heel so many times, but you can still crush the devil’s head with your bruised heel.
Become the waiter that is always ready to serve the devil ‘breakfast’ whenever he try to take her out of the will of God.
No matter how many times depression comes to visit you, never allow it feel at home in your life, always show it the way out.
Become the strong woman i made to be.
The woman whom when life knocks her off feet, and come back to see if she is rolling on the ground in frustration, life will find her on her knees, running and moving with the speed of prayers.
Refuse to be a slave to your past.
Don’t allow your mistakes to rule over you.
Unpack the luggages filled with fear, doubts and insecurity.
Move out of that apartment in your mind that you share with a roommate call shame.
Take a journey, and let your destination be the outstretched loving arms of God,
i am waiting with a crown that has your name boldly written on it, i am waiting to look into your eyes and tell you.
“Happy Independence Daughter.”
“Now, you are free indeed.”
